Herbie Hancock

Herbie Hancock is an emblematic figure on the jazz scene. The hits 'Cantaloupe Island’, 'Watermelon Man’ and 'Chameleon’ are engraved on our collective memory. For the past six decades he has been pursuing his fusion of genres and influencing several generations of musicians in the process.

Few artists have had as great an influence on jazz and acoustic and electronic R&B as Herbie Hancock. As a former member of the Miles Davis Quintet, who pioneered the unique jazzy sound of the time, Hancock also adopted new approaches when making his own recordings. In the 1970s, which saw the release of such notable albums as "Headhunters”, he combined electronic jazz with funk and rock in an innovative style that continues to influence contemporary music to this day!

Today, Herbie Hancock remains at the forefront of world culture and a driving force in the music business, always ready to embrace new technology. We are delighted to welcome him to Arena5!
